There are several regulations covering the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms, and mewp training using accredited organisations such as ours will ensure your compliance with the training aspects of their use. Mewp training or scissor lift training and telescopic boom type machines( cherry picker training) is available 7 days a week to suit your operational needs.
Course Content includes:
- Introduction to the course
- Health and Safety legislation and the reasons for training
- Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
- Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998
- Introduction to the Mobile Elevating Work Platform
- Harness and Lanyard and the need for its use
- Move off, stop and steer the MEWP
- Manoeuvre the MEWP accurately
- Capacity and stability of the MEWP and siting for work
- Hydraulics and their use
- Pre-use checks
- Replenish energy source
- Lifting functions
- Telescoping/articulating and slewing as appropriate
- Operate over uneven ground
- Associated knowledge test
- Pre-use check test
- Practical Test
Course closure, including test results, feedback and discussion of future actions.
